Whether you take up the mantle of a defenseless little clockwork bunny or the malevolent Magician, the Carnival Hunt system requirements bear no ill will towards any modern gaming rig. If anything, mastering the game's mechanics and learning the map will prove far more of a challenge, even for Dead By Daylight veterans.
Carnival Hunt takes your average Dead By Daylight map, fleshes it out in incredible detail, and adds a considerable element of verticality. You and three other clockwork bunnies must escape the clutches of the carnival monsters without running out of charge or taking too much damage. As the monster, you'll be hunting for keys to keep your own dark clockwork ticking while chasing terrified players. Fortunately, you won't need the best graphics card from our buying guide to get this contender for the best horror game going, but the game is still in beta and so its requirements could increase closer to a full release.
Here are the Carnival Hunt system requirements for PC:
Minimum | Recommended | |
OS | Windows 7 64-bit | Windows 7 64-bit |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 |
CPU | 2GHz dual-core or similar | Intel Core i5 2.6GHz or similar |
RAM | 4GB | 8GB |
Storage | 12GB | 12GB |
Unfortunately, the Carnival Hunt minimum requirements are a little vague as to what processor you should be using, but, for now at least, you probably won't need anything that's high or even mid-range if a 2GHz dual-core chip is all you require. What you will need is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 GPU paired with a CPU along the lines of an Intel Pentium E5200 or better, and 4GB of RAM. Overall, this is an incredibly low bar to overcome, so most gaming rigs from the last five years should have no issues diving into Carnival Hunt.
If you want to meet the Carnival Hunt recommended specs, you won't need much more powerful hardware over the minimum, as an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, an Intel Core i5-3320M CPU or similar, and 8GB of RAM are all you need to play the game at its recommended settings.
Whatever level of hardware you own, some users are reporting poor performance in the game on some setups, so you may want to fine-tune your in-game settings if you're encountering frame rate drops, as it can potentially mean the difference between escaping the Magician or ensnaring bunnies if you're playing as the Magician. The game is very much still in beta, so optimizations and bug fixes could well resolve these issues in the future.
The Carnival Hunt download size is 12GB of storage space, which is practically a drop in the ocean compared to most modern games. You won't need an SSD to get the game running, but we'd always recommend checking out our buying guide for the best gaming SSD if you are still rocking a traditional hard disk drive.
