What are the Prospecting enchants? Following in the footsteps of other Roblox games all about the grind of gathering materials, pan enchants in Prospecting can help bridge the gap between your current gear and a worthwhile, but expensive, upgrade. They can also make a top-tier pan better than the base state of a new one.
Prospecting is all about filling a pan with sand and sifting it out to uncover rare gems and metals. The better the pan, the more goods you'll find to sell. Prospecting codes can get you a quick upgrade. And if you're simply waiting on the next update, check out Fisch codes and Dig codes to try out the competition.
You can enchant your pan in Prospecting by bringing either Aurorite or Aetherite to the Mysterious Altar in Rubble Town. Read on for the details.
To get started in pan enchanting, you first need to head across the Rubble River and into Rubble Town. Head east (ok, right) through the town and take the right path around the Alchemist. You should soon come across a glowing altar. This is where you'll enchant your pans from now on.
Speak to the nearby Archaeologist NPC to accept the 'Mysterious Altar' quest. For this, you'll have to collect either Aurorite or Aetherite. They're both very rare materials, with Aurorite also used in accessory crafts like the Gravity Coil and Mass Accumulator.
Bring one back to him and you'll have the means to enchant your first pan. He'll let you keep the goods, so don't worry about grabbing extras.
Equip the pan you want to enchant, interact with the altar, confirm that you're ready, and you'll come out with an enchanted pan. Speak to the Archaeologist after that to score $250,000, 10,000 XP, and 250 shards.

What is pan enchanting in Prospecting?
Pan enchants in Prospecting adds a permanent modifier (or buff) to a pan of your choosing. Each pan can only have one enchant, but you can overwrite one enchant with another. Pan enchating requires either of the two materials stated above, but never both.
Although you won't have to worry about it early into your time as a prospector, enchanting your pan as quickly as possible can net you some easy upgrades in record time.
What's the difference between Aurorite and Aetherite in Prospecting?
Aurorite, the rarer material, removes the more common enchants from the pan enchant pool, ensuring you'll always earn the stronger version of an enchant like Gigantic instead of Strong or a rarer, more powerful pan enchant like Blessed, Boosting, or Titanic.
While the spin rates of Divine and Cosmic are unknown, we do know that they're low enough to be exclusive to Aetherite spins.

What's the best enchant in Prospecting?
There isn't too much variety with Prospecting enchants just yet. They only affect specific stats and don't add any crazy variations to the panning minigame.
This means the best Prospecting enchants are the rarest—like Cosmic and Diving. These enchants are like multiple of the strongest enchants rolled into one, making them easy to recommend if you're able to spin them.
If you're simply wondering what's the best out of five possible rolls, it depends on your goal. For making money in Prospecting, the best pan enchants will be Unstable if you're lucky, Greedy if you're rolling with Aetherite, or Lucky if you're enchanting low-tier pans with Aurorite.
Can you enchant gear in Prospecting?
No, crafted gear you equip to your character (rings, necklaces, etc.) cannot be enchanted at the Mysterious Altar.
If you need to squeeze a little more out of them, talk to the Blacksmith to reroll their stats. Stats can go up or down, but if a crafted item is already closer to the low end of its stat potential, a reroll can be worth a shot while you save up for a higher-tier option.
And that should be all you need to know about enchanting pans in Prospecting. We fully expect the enchant system to expand with future updates, so check back often to see what might have changed. Looking for something new to play? Check out our list of the best Roblox games from over the years.
