All Grounded 2 tape locations and Stranger files

Where are all the file and tape locations in Grounded 2? You'll find collectible snippets of lore scattered throughout the park as you attempt to survive where others failed. You'll need to infiltrate not only abandoned Ominent Facility locations, but hacker dens and hidden areas where past employees bit the dust. And we can guide you to any you might have missed.

As you journey around the park in search of the Stranger's lost paperwork and the ominous musings of Ominent, you'll want to hit up unrelated Grounded 2 Ranger Outpost locations to resupply. All Grounded 2 tape, file, and Turbo optical disk locations

We've found Grounded 2 collectibles scattered around seven unique locations in the park.

Tapes, files, and optical disks can be found inside lab facilities, in research tunnels, on the remains of Ominent workers, and sometimes even buried in the ground. We've rounded up the lot and detailed where to go and what you'll find.

Ominent Onboarding Facility collectibles locations

Things kick off in the Onboarding Facility. Search around the lockers, desks, tables, and benches, and you should have no issue coming across the six available Ominent files and tapes.

Just note that three of them are buttons to trigger pre-recorded talks for each museum exhibit. They're not visible tapes like the others.

Snack Bar Ant Hill collectibles locations

Once you have your Omni-Tool, you can head back to the shrouded area around the Training Facility to find the Snack Bar Ant Hill.

Head inside and hug the right wall until you find a chamber with some stone blocking an opening. Smash your way through, and you'll find a Turbo disc in a buried chest and a file and tape on the body of a deceased worker.

Hatchery Anthill collectibles locations

Though it won't trigger as an Outpost or Ominent Lab, the apparatus found in the Red Soldier Ant home in the Ant Hill is clearly an abandoned research spot.

Snack Bar Hacker Den collectibles locations

Follow the main storyline and you'll be sent on a quick errand once you've hatched your first buggy.

Use it to break through the barrier by the O.R.C Scorpions under the snack bar and you'll come across a hacker den. Two collectables rest atop an overturned filing cabinet inside.

Ranger Outpost: Pine Hill collectibles locations

Nestled away in the northern brush is a ransacked Ranger Outpost that's clearly been used by our hacker friend. Among the things left behind (including a dead and webbed ant) is a file.

Ranger Outpost: Statue collectibles locations

Slither your way to the south side of the Statue area wall (ok, steps) and you'll find Ranger Outpost: Statue.

Like a couple of others, this has clearly been shredded by Ominent's aggressor, who has (again) left a little something behind to remember them by. You'll find it on the one clear surface by the stacked computer equipment.

Statue Checkpoint collectibles locations

You can grab the Sign-In Sheet from the Statue Checkpoint guarded by the far larger O.R.C Scorpions long before you have the clearance to access the elevator inside.
