Where do you find quartzite and marble in Grounded 2? As with any survival crafting game, there are tons of resources essential to your success in Grounded 2. You're stranded in a huge park this time around, so, just like the yard, you're reliant on any natural materials you can find lying around - from rotting food to rocks and minerals like quartzite and marble.
Once you've crafted and equipped the best Grounded 2 armor and weapons, you might be wondering where to go next. Base gear in the survival game isn't great as it is, but it quickly becomes more valuable with upgrades. Like in the first game, upgrading your weapons in Grounded 2 requires Brittle Whetstone, while armor requires Brittle Plating. Both are used in a smithing station to upgrade your Grounded 2 gear, and can only be crafted from quartzite and marble shards, respectively.
Both marble and quartzite can be found in various locations across the map, so always keep your eyes peeled for the shiny gray and red rocks, particularly near the Lingonberry bush. However, the best place to look for deposits is in caves and anthills, especially those protected by Grounded 2 dead roots.
These blocked caverns are almost always hiding something valuable, be it Milk Molars, Raw Science, and, more often than not, marble and quartzite. Be sure to take a light source with you, or you won't be able to see the minerals.
One of the best examples is the hatchery anthill, the first anthill you explore during the Grounded 2 questline, and the same one in which you find red soldier ant eggs. There are multiple dry roots in here, which lead to shortcuts and plenty of quartzite and marble.
Both marble and quartzite are finite materials, so you can't go back to a location to gather more - once you've harvested it once, it's gone for good. Therefore, be sure to check every cave or anthill you pass.
With as much quartzite and marble as you can carry, you can start upgrading your Grounded 2 weapons and armor. This is essential when it comes to defeating the most deadly bugs, such as Grounded 2 ladybugs - yes, you'd be surprised how hard they hit.
