What are the best Grounded 2 weapons? In any RPG or action-adventure game in which combat is king, your choice of weapons can sometimes be overwhelming.

Grounded 2 is no different and features a vast array of weapons, all of which deal different damage and have different effects. Going into battle with the most terrifying Grounded 2 scorpions, wolf spiders, and, um, ladybugs requires the most powerful gear, so if you're unsure what to pick, here are the best Grounded 2 weapons, based on both their strength and the requirements to repair them once they break down.

Mosquito Needle

Crafting ingredients: 2x Mosquito Beak, 2x Silk Rope, 2x Mosquito Blood Sack

The mosquito needle is by far the best weapon in Grounded 2, thanks to its Life Drain enhancement. For every hit that you make with the Mosquito Needle, you regain some of your own health. Sure, this may only be by a small amount each time, but it soon stacks up on smaller enemies, meaning you're more likely to enter tougher battles with more health.

The Mosquito Needle is also relatively easy to repair. Repairs require Mosquito Beaks and Blood Sacs, both obtained from killing mosquitos - strangely enough. As you'll soon find out, though, these buzzing pests are common across Brookhollow Park, and are easy to take down with a perfect parry. Defeat every mosquito you see, and you should never run out of repair materials for your new sword.

Spider Stringer

Crafting ingredients: 2x Orb Weaver Fang, 3x Orb Weaver Chunk, 3x Silk Rope

Unlock requirements: Analyze Orb Weaver Fang or Orb Weaver Chunk

For a bow, you may want to go straight for the Wolf Stringer or Butterfly Bow, which are technically the best Grounded 2 bows, but the Spider Stringer should not be overlooked. As with most weapons on this list, we've considered the repair costs of the bows as well as their base stats, and this makes the Spider Stringer the superior ranged weapon by far.

Once you have a decent Mosquito Needle and armor, you will have no problem defeating the incredibly common Orc Spiders, so you'll always have the resources required to fix up your bow.

Red Ant Club

Crafting ingredients: 3x Red Ant Mandibles, 4x Red Ant Parts, 3x Sap, 2x Crude Rope

Sometimes, you need something that hits real hard. On those occasions, it's time to flex your muscles and bring out a two-handed axe. While the Warhammerlet is a worthy contender in the early game, get yourself a Red Ant Club the moment you unlock it, and have it to hand for crushing Grounded 2 snail shells and stunning other tough enemies.

Crimson Saber

Repair ingredients: 2x Red Ant Mandibles, 1x Red Ant Part

The crimson saber isn't terribly worthwhile as your main weapon, as we'd still recommend the Mosquito Needle, but there may be times when our top pick just doesn't cut it. Or should we say slash it? By using the PEEP.R to document the different bugs around the park, you can see each of their resistances and weaknesses. Some, like the bug, are resistant to stabbing damage, so the Mosquito Needle, a stabbing weapon, won't deal as much damage. For these critters, we'd recommend having a Crimson Saber to hand, which instead deals slashing damage, which just happens to be the bug's biggest weakness.

Pebblet Spear

We may have hailed the Mosquito Needle as the best weapon in the game and commended the ease of repairs, but it's always good to have a spare Pebblet Spear in your inventory for emergencies. Only requiring a single Pebblet for repair, you will never be without a sturdy weapon at your side. Just be sure to spend a few whetstones upgrading your weapon.

Acorn Turret

Crafting ingredients: 2x Acorn Shells, 1x Acorn Top, 3x Silk Rope, 1x Flower Petal, 2x Weed Stem

Sure, the Acorn Turret doesn't count as a weapon that you can carry around in your backpack, but it's so good it deserves a mention here. When it comes to defending your base against ORC attacks, trust us, there is no better weapon. Want to kill massive Orb Weavers and scorpions in a single hit?
