How do you get water in Grounded 2? It's hot out there in the park. When you're the literal size of an ant, even small spills can become veritable lagoons. But sources you'd otherwise consider as dry as the desert can become viable ways to sustain yourself and your teammates for days. You just need to know where to find water in Grounded 2, and how to drink it.
Unless you've been surviving off murky water run-offs under the Snack Shack this whole time, you're likely new to the Grounded 2 park. To get going with minimal risk in the survival game, check out how to get the silk rope recipe.
How you approach getting water in Grounded 2 will change as you progress. Early on, you have two options: sip from various pools and puddles, or quench your thirst without getting queasy by seeking out fresh water sources.
In a pinch, you can just scan the skyline for dewdrops forming on the tips of drooping grass. These are typically low enough to jump up and slurp and should provide enough hydration to see you through your day. If not, just whack the grass to force it down.
If you're waking up late, that dew might have fallen to the floor. Turn your attention to the ground and look for large droplets on the surface.
Similarly, tasters of water can drop from other sources: juice boxes, hydrants, sprinklers, you name it.
You'll get first-hand experience of this if you set up shop outside the first major lab. Each morning, a single drop will fall from the faucet above the Ranger Outpost entrance, sustaining your early adventures with ease and removing the need to slurp from the nearby swamp.
Soon enough, you'll unlock the means to harvest larger quantities by using containers to collect these dripping freebies. Simple recipes like the Water Container, unlocked when you find acorns, can help in setting up a string of automated water sources around your camps, giving you the means to refill your gourd or take a quick sip as you pass by.
To make things even easier, place and name Trail Markers, and you'll soon have a bountiful supply of fresh water just a stone's throw away from wherever you might end up.
Now that you know how to get water in Grounded 2, dehydration shouldn't be the most dangerous part of living life among the gnats and the ants.
