As one of the most iconic sports games of all time that just so happens to be alive and kicking on the competitive scene, it remains surprising that the Rocket League system requirements are still incredibly low. Season 19 of Rocket League is underway, with the game celebrating its 10th anniversary with revamped content, the introduction of Rocket Rivalry, and the release of new challenges.

Rocket League has to be one of the most well-known and best sports games on the market, and it doesn't even cost a single cent! Best of all, the game will run on just about any modern or budget setup, including the best mini-gaming PC from our buying guides. Of course, you'll still benefit massively from having a stronger setup, as anything that can improve your frame rate can mean the difference between scoring a goal, or watching another driver steal the ball from you.

Here are the Rocket League system requirements in 2025:

Minimum (1080p, 30fps) Recommended (1080p, 60fps)
OS Windows 7 64-bit or newer Windows 7 64-bit or newer
GPU Nvidia GeForce 760
AMD Radeon R7 270X
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon RX 470
VRAM 2GB 4GB
CPU 2.5GHz+ dual-core 3.0GHz+ quad-core
RAM 4GB 8GB
Storage 20GB 20GB
Notes Gamepad or controller recommended Gamepad or controller recommended

The Rocket League minimum requirements are a little bit curious in that they still call for Windows 7 OS at entry-level. Most games, by virtue of Steam, require Windows 10 64-bit OS for every game on the market, but that's where Rocket League differs, having been removed from Steam at the request of the game's publisher. The game remains accessible via the Epic Games Store, which doesn't enforce Windows 10 for games listed on its market. However, considering the security risks of Windows 7 and all the other operating systems which are no longer supported by Microsoft, we would suggest upgrading to Windows 11 if you plan on jumping into Rocket League.

Otherwise, all you'll need to get Rocket League running is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 270X GPU, a 2.5GHz dual-core processor such as the ancient i5-3210M or the AMD A4-3300, and 4GB of RAM.

You will, of course, also need a decent internet connection if you don't want to encounter significant lag or input-delays.

As for the Rocket League recommended specs, there's not much of a jump, only requiring an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 470 GPU, a 3.0GHz quad-core CPU such as the Intel Core i5-4430 or AMD FX-8350, and 8GB of RAM. By modern gaming standards, this is not a particularly challenging benchmark to meet, but the developers recommend you use a gamepad, which is where we will direct you to one of the best PC controller picks from our buying guide to get the best Rocket League experience.

When it comes to download size, the Rocket League storage space demands a practically minuscule 20GB of space. An SSD isn't required, but we'd recommend grabbing one of the best SSD options from our buying guide if you're running low on space, or still rocking a traditional hard disk drive.
