When fighting against aliens that will stop at nothing to end you, everything should be considered a potential weapon - even flags. And thanks to groundbreaking military research from Arrowhead, the latest Helldivers 2 update has made those portable battle banners even pointier. What does this mean? Well, you can now proudly plant Super Earth's flag directly into your enemies with even more force.
It's the latest update to land for Helldivers 2, widely considered one of the best co-op games available, and while it includes a whole host of improvements for various weapons, the most important addition to note is the boosted lethality of CQC-1 One True Flag. You can now plant the flag in more places, and by places of course we mean enemies, because there is no better feeling than jamming the colors of Super Earth firmly into an alien's forehead.
The new Helldivers 2 update also reduces the time it takes for you to regain control of your character after ragdolling. But not all improvements are positive. Chest injury bleed damage has been increased from one to ten, so watch out for weapons aimed directly at your torso…
Prepare to take up arms with new improvements to a select number of weapons. The AR-32 Pacifier now comes with six magazines by default, and the max amount has been increased to eight. Both the SMG-72 Pummeler and the ARC-12 Blitzer get a slight increase in the stun value they apply to enemies. Meanwhile, R-2124 Constitution and R-2 Amendment get a stagger strength increase to 25.
The P-92 Warrant now also locks onto large-sized enemies, while throwables like the G-10 and G-13 incendiary grenades now have a larger amount of fuel, resulting in longer-lasting fire duration.
This will prove extremely useful, as large to massive-sized enemies are now also much easier to set on fire. The fight for freedom continues across the galaxy, and there are plenty of other tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes to aid you in your fight to defend Super Earth.
The latest patch comes just days after Arrowhead revealed the next Warbond for Helldivers 2. Jamie noted the VG-70 Variable, a seven barreled volley gun, as his highlight, but there is plenty more experimental and ludicrous weaponry forged from alien tech for you to pick up.
