Start the earthquake in THPS 3+4

How do you start the earthquake in THPS 3+4? You can start an earthquake in Los Angeles with just a skateboard, causing a highway to collapse. Once you do this, you'll be able to help stop the ongoing car chase, clearing all the goals in Los Angeles.

We've seen some wacky things in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, and being able to start the earthquake in Los Angeles by grinding on some rails is just the tip of the iceberg. Remember, this is the same skateboard game where you can unlock a Spongebob level by jumping off a pirate ship at the right time. Through the magic of skateboarding, anything is possible.

Start the earthquake in Los Angeles

You can start the earthquake in THPS 3+4 by grinding on four red rails located in and around the first building you see on the Los Angeles level.

You must grind on these rails long enough to trigger the tremor on every side of the map, but you don't need to land the combo to activate each segment of the goal. It's also worth noting that you can grind on these rails in any order you like.

When you spawn on the Los Angeles level, the closest rail is in the building directly ahead of you. Skate down the stairs and grind on the red rail inside the building towards the left wall, triggering the Westerntremor gap.

Once you've finished with that rail, head down the stairs and make a left down the road. The red rail appears next to the plain rail attached to the wall. If you have built up your special gauge, you should be able to grind the full length of the rail to trigger the Easternremor gap, provided you approach the rail at full speed.

As you land, you should be very close to the initial spawn point. From here, go down the stairs like you did for the first rail, but this time ignore the building and instead make a right to find the red rail you need to activate the Northerntremor gap. This one doesn't require you to build up any speed as it's on an incline.

You should be on the road by the time you finish grinding, so make a left until you reach the first streetlight where you'll find the final red rail. Before you get the chance to land the grind, you should see the Southerntremor gap appear, triggering the earthquake cutscene. With the highway in pieces, you can assist the police in their hot pursuit.
