There are some things you just can't help but associate with a long, hot summer. A nice cold ice cream. The smell of freshly cut grass. The loving purr of a lawn mower. Well, I'm delighted to tell you that you'll be able to experience almost all of the above from within the cool confines of your home with the return of Lawn Mowing Simulator.
The popular simulation game, which sees you triumphantly ride around on real-world lawn mowers perfectly pruning and trimming the British countryside, has revealed that it will be releasing its biggest expansion yet this summer, alongside a quality of life update for long-time fans of the title.
Lawn Mowing Simulator's massive Heritage Park DLC will allow you to flex your lawn care muscles in two new locations, Roskell Quarry Park and Mill View Park, and will also offer eight new contract locations, ten mowing contracts, and eight litter collection jobs, which includes another two whole park litter contracts. It will also allow players to choose to ride out on the new Patterson ZTA-XL, a zero-turn mower with a wide 145cm (57″) deck and a 26.8hp engine.
The Heritage Park DLC is, of course, accompanied by the extensive new quality of life update. In the Summer 2025 update, expect improvements to mid-contract saving and career contract completion re-balance, as well as other bug fixes and performance optimizations.
For someone who is currently in a long-standing faceoff with her manual mower, nothing sounds more idyllic than being able to hop on one of 12 mower models, and carefully trim the lawns of the British countryside without having to leave the coziness of my own couch. Although it looks like there will be a bit of time to wait, as a release date for The Heritage Park DLC and quality of life update is yet to be announced.
The full Patch Notes can be found here. While we await the release date for the new DLC, you can pick up Lawn Mowing Simulator in the Curve Games Summer Sale at up to 70% off at $5.99 / £4.79, or the Buy Lawn Mowing Simulator: Landmark Edition, which includes its two other DLCs, while its 63% off for $9.33 / £7.45.
