All Star Tower Defense X tier list - What's the best unit?
Here's how the ASTDX tier list is looking at launch:
Tier | Unit |
S | Freiren, Sakuna, Super God Koku |
A | Freiren, Sakuna, Onwin, Airren, Zaruto (Sage), Venus, Ruffy (Lobby) |
B | Gen, Borul, Janji, Stampede, Zorro, Shirtless Magician, Vegu |
C | Humble Swordsman, Spirit Detective, Uru, Jon Jo |
D | Koro, Anti Magician, Koku, Zio Brundo |
F | Captain, Ice Queen |
Though you'll have six unit slots to play around with at later levels, you'll be progressing through most of the game with just four or five.
How you use those slots will really make the difference in a lengthy round, making party composition far more important than simply stacking 4 and 5* units.
ASTDX Trait tier list - What's the best Trait to reroll?
Pick the best traits for your units with a quick look at the best ASTDX traits right now:
Tier | Trait |
S | All Star, Genesis, Tempest |
A | Bloodlust, Companion |
B | Perception III, Zenkai III, Midas, Sharpshooter, Corrupted |
C | Prodigy, Dexterity III, Zenkai II, Dexterity II, Tank |
D | Zenkai I, Perception I, Perception II, Durability, Dexterity I |
When it comes to team building, the traits you teach to your units matter almost as much as team composition. Traits can bolster a unit's innate strengths or patch any weaknesses in your team.
And while some of the better ones are locked behind minuscule roll rates, even Tank, the most common, can save a bad run in some circumstances. Having +50% durability is better than running with the default amount, after all.
Ultimately, running a team with stacked <5% traits will make up for that with bonus stats, unique moves, and true damage perks. It's just that something is always better than nothing. A unit with any perk is better than a unit without one.
All challenge path skills in ASTDX
Damage | Range | Speed |
Critical - 10% for 2x DMG | Surge - 10% for +10 range (60s) every 10 kills | Additional - 10% to attack again |
Marker - 10% to mark for +30% DMG (5s) | Assassin - 15% for True DMG | Dodge - 15% to dodge |
Element Boost - 10% more elemental weakness DMG | Ricochet - 10% to deal 40% DMG to another enemy | Employment - 20% to double team income each kill |
Disruption - 20% to penetrate shields | Overload - 5% chance to deal 50% Area DMG | Elemental Resist - 25% more weak Element DMG |
Units can be further strengthened by investing Skill Orbs of that unit's color into the Hidden Potential tree.
There are three trees: Damage, Range, and Speed. A unit can only progress down one tree, unlocking stat bonus and the below skills along the way.
Skill Orbs are earned through the Challenge Mode runs, which apply modifiers to stages like City of Voldstandig and Innovation Island.
And that about sums up the ASTDX tier lists for now. We'll have character loadouts and team-up details soon, so keep those Trait Burners piling up if you can.
