With less than a week to go until the early access period begins for those who purchased the digital deluxe edition, we're still none the wiser about the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 system requirements. This late reveal is sure to be frustrating for PC gamers who will want to know whether their system is up to the task or whether upgrades are needed.
While we can make certain assumptions based on the system requirements for the first set of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remasters, there is a sense of certainty that only comes once the official specs are available, either on social media or the official Steam page. For now, we live in the dark, not knowing, officially at least, whether we're going to need one of the best graphics cards to get the best performance in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4.
Having spent a fair amount of time covering system requirements for the latest and greatest PC games, I'm quite surprised to see a game leave it this late to reveal the PC specs. There's currently no sign of the THPS 3+4 specs on the official website, social media channels, the Steam store page, or the Steam community page.
While THPS 1+2 was far from demanding, only listing an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7950 as the minimum GPUs, it can be tricky for PC gamers to commit to a purchase without knowing for sure whether their gaming PC will be able to run the game.
However, there's more to it than just PC gaming, because the rise in popularity of gaming handhelds means there may be players eagerly awaiting the specs to see whether THPS 3+4 will run on the Steam Deck, or another handheld they might own.
For now, we'll sit tight and keep an eye on all the relevant social channels, awaiting the release of the official THPS 3+4 system requirements, hoping that they closely follow the demands of the previous remakes.
If you don't want to wait for the full THPS 3+4 release date, you can jump in and play for three days before everyone else, thanks to an early access period that comes included with the digital deluxe edition.
