What is the Peak bugle used for? Waking up on that beach, you're surrounded by all kinds of equipment that is both extremely useful and, well, not. The Bing Bong cuddly toy isn't going to stop you from falling to your death, or freezing to death, or… well, you get the point. One item you'll find when waking up in Peak is the bugle, but what is it used for?
So many items have a use case in Peak - the Cursed skull, for instance, can be a game-changer if used correctly. The bugle, however, doesn't seem to be useful at all, unless you want to annoy your friends (which we do). Here's what it does, and a special variation you can find along the way.
The bugle's main function is to make a sound. Simple, we know, but if you're stranded from your group, tooting your bugle can give them a clue to your whereabouts. It's also great for punctuating a particularly tense moment with its beautiful tones.
There is an achievement that requires the bugle, too. See our Peak capybara guide for more information on that - it's worth hauling that piece of metal to the arctic, trust us.
What is the Friendship Bugle?
There is a legendary bugle that can be found on your journey that has a very special function indeed. The Friendship Bugle, when used, gives your team a boost of stamina, allowing you all a brief period when climbing isn't an issue.
For those who understand that the journey is the more worthy part, we think that the Peak bugle is an essential piece of equipment. Being able to lighten the mood of a group with the press of a button is invaluable. For more games like Peak, check out our guide on the best co-op games here.
