The next Inzoi modding update is delayed, as Krafton's Inzoi Studio confirms it's pushing back the second rollout of mod tools for its ultra-realistic life sim "to ensure feature completeness." Previously scheduled for September, the new additions will give modders more capability to address some of the bigger complaints about the recently released challenger to The Sims 4, with the potential to create custom interactions and specific character features.
The first round of mod tools for Inzoi arrived just a couple of weeks ago, and they're focused primarily on the creation of custom outfits and furniture, along with the ability to modify some of the core game rules. Its next rollout, however, promises some pretty big inclusions, from tweaking specific character features such as faces and hair, to a variety of build mode elements, and even the ability to create "interaction-based content" such as scripted conversations and related animations.
That latter inclusion could potentially be a big deal. A recent player survey shared with Inzoi creators by game director Hungjun 'Kjun' Kim listed "lacking simulation content" and "unnatural relationships, interactions, and emotions" as the two weakest parts of the game currently. You can see the graph at the 2:20 mark in the video below, courtesy of YouTuber Rachel 'Fantayzia.' Opening up the doors for Inzoi mods to tackle these gaps could therefore help reaffirm its place among our best life games.
Unfortunately, we'll now be waiting a bit longer for those tools. "The next modding update, initially scheduled for September, has been postponed to October," Inzoi Studio writes in a new roadmap update. "In addition, we've decided to exclude a UI editor feature originally planned for this update following internal review. This decision was made to ensure feature completeness, better alignment with the game's overall direction, and more consistent quality."
With the update delayed into October, Krafton says it will now be released alongside the third major step along the Inzoi roadmap, which is set to include the family tree feature, hotkey customization options, better tools for moving home, and improvements for build mode and Create-a-Zoi. Before that, however, we'll be introduced to the next Inzoi map, Cahaya, in August; it's an island resort that strips out jobs in favor of a focus on self-sustainability.
There's still plenty to look forward to for now, then. The August update will expand on the possibilities available for Inzoi tattoos, as well as adding swimming pools, freelancer jobs, and the ability to control ghosts. In the meantime, you'll want to take a look through our list of all Inzoi cheats for free money, perfect relationships, full needs, and more.
