ALDI is leaning into Southern-style comfort food this month. Most of these meals only take a few minutes to heat up and serve, making for a proper homestyle meal without spending your whole evening in the kitchen.

We’ve rounded up five Southern comfort food staples we can’t wait to snag from ALDI throughout this month. These items will sell out fast, so if you see something you like, you might want to make an extra shopping trip. 

1. Fremont Fish Market Catfish Fillets

Fried catfish is undeniably a Southern soul food staple—and while it’s a simple dish to make at home, you don’t even need to bust out the deep fryer to cook up ALDI’s version. Available on Mar. 4, these $6 frozen catfish fillets come pre-battered; you can bake them, broil them, grill them, or just toss them in a pan on the stovetop. Your fried catfish will be ready in about 10 minutes. Don’t forget the hush puppies and coleslaw.

2. Nashville Hot Dry Rub Wings

Football season just ended, but that doesn’t mean you need to give up on chicken wings just yet. ALDI has two frozen chicken wing flavors available on Mar. 4: Nashville-style hot and maple bacon. Both come with a light breading and a dry-rub seasoning packet for cooking. A bag of wings costs $9. 

3. Clancy's Nashville Hot Chicken Kettle Chips

Can’t get enough Nashville heat? Starting on Mar. 4, ALDI Finds will have Clancy’s Kettle Chips in a Nashville Hot Chicken flavor. Serve these spicy chips on a sandwich, with a plate of spring barbecue, or as a quick afternoon snack. P.S. Clancy’s also has a Cuban Sandwich flavor available at ALDI this month. One bag of chips is just $2. 

4. Breakfast Best Sausage & Biscuit Gravy Bites

A quick Southern breakfast isn’t out of reach, even on a weekday. Rather than whipping up homemade biscuits and gravy during your morning rush, try a breakfast that combines your sausage, gravy, and biscuit into one bite. These $5 biscuit bites have a golden crust on the outside and sausage and gravy inside. They’ll be available starting on March 11. 

5. Season's Choice Sweet Potato Casserole

A holiday favorite in the South is sweet potato casserole—and with Easter coming up, now’s a good time to stock up on this dish. ALDI’s Sweet Potato Casserole comes topped with pralines for a Southern spin. One frozen casserole retails for $5, and you’ll find it on ALDI’s shelves starting the week of Mar. 18.
