How does Grow a Garden work? Now officially the biggest game on the planet (if its concurrent user counter is to be believed), this simple Roblox game has a tight time-based gameplay loop designed to keep you coming back throughout the day. You plant seeds, harvest their fruits, and sell them to afford more exotic species for your dream allotment.

As you progress through Grow a Garden, participating in weekly Roblox events and setting up stock notifiers can expedite progress. And given you're always tending to your farm surrounded by like-minded players, showing off fruits can encourage others to compete for bigger and better botanicals. Grab the latest Grow a Garden codes to get some freebies for your crops.

How to play Grow a Garden

In Grow a Garden, the main objective is exactly what you think—to grow a garden. There's no end goal or any real challenges to aim for, but a few systems will naturally keep you locked in and coming back for more.

Though you can aim to cram your garden with as many expensive trees and fruits as possible, it's perfectly possible to curate your space to your liking; whether that's by growing only fruits native to your own country, designing a cozy garden to relax in, or cultivating a jungle for others to get lost in. The choice is yours.

Either way, progressing in Grow a Garden is simple. Buy seeds, plant crops, harvest their produce, and sell them to buy more seeds.

In most cases, the fruits produced by a plant will be worth more than the seeds used to grow them, causing you to earn more and more money the longer you play. And with plants growing even while you're offline, it's easy to progress even if you just play five minutes a day.

To get a feel for things before seeing gardens curated over a longer period, boot up a GaG private server and mess around with the Grow a Garden cheats below:

How to get Grow a Garden seeds

Cultivate your garden means acquiring Grow a Garden seeds. Available in a frankly silly quantity, how you get them depends on the species you're looking to grow.

Early on, you'll be focusing on seeds available at the Seed Seller. This is the shop you can travel to by clicking the button at the top. Stock here refreshes every five minutes, with rarer seeds having much lower chances of appearing with each random reset.

Stock is exclusive to your screen and not the server as a whole, so don't worry about missing a rare new seed just by being a few seconds late to a shop reset.

Outside of that, event-specific seeds can be acquired by visiting the vendor in the middle of the map. Code rewards can also come with Seed Packets, awarding a random seed from a limited pool.

Lastly, there's a chance of gaining the seed from a crop when harvesting a crop. Some pets can also uncover new seeds.

Whether you're looking to maximize your single seed profits or find out how to unlock limited-time trees, our GaG seed guides below should be able to help:

How to make money in Grow a Garden

Making money in Grow a Garden boils down to one thing: selling the fruits of a plant for more than the cost of its seed. While slow in the beginning, rarer fruits fetch a prettier penny, snowballing over time as you buy a seed for one million and sell its produce for 10 million.

But you can speed up the Grow a Garden money-making process by learning how to game the mutation system.

By investing in tools like Sprinklers to speed up growth time or increase crop size, or luring weather effects to rarer crops with Wands to increase the odds of multiplying their worth with rare mutations, you can make a harvest normally worth 30,000 Sheckles become worth 3 million in minutes.

What are Grow a Garden events?

Grow a Garden events are limited-time windows where new and special rewards can be unlocked by clearing new goals.

Grow a Garden events typically start on Saturday. These can either change slightly the following week or be replaced with a new event. During Grow a Garden events, new systems are introduced with new rewards there to encourage continuous play.

For example, the Buzzy Bees event encouraged playing during a Swarm weather effect to speed up the swapping of pollinated plants for new rewards. The following week saw the Buzzy Bear crafter added, who rewarded players who delivered specific fruits of a set size.

What do pets do in Grow a Garden?

Like most Roblox games, Grow a Garden hides a gacha system in plain sight with Pets.

Available in a random rotation of eggs at the opposite side of the map, Grow a Garden pets hatch from eggs placed in your garden, with each species having a unique effect that's active only when they're roaming your plot.

Pets age when they're sufficiently fed, which makes them eligible for trading back to the egg shop in return for additional pet slots, increasing the number of pet passive effects you can have over time.

With new pets added with most weekly updates, the Grow a Garden pet guides below should help you pick out the best:

And that should be everything you need to know to get started in Grow a Garden.
