The catch? The medium size retails for $265. This week, ALDI’s limited-time finds include a similar version—Kirkton House’s Fresh Picked Tomato candle. At just $5, it’s a dupe that costs you 98% less than the original. Here’s how the two compare. 

Kirkton House Fresh Picked Tomato Scented Candle

Starting June 11, you can pick up a Kirkton House three-wick candle in a Fresh Picked Tomato scent in the ALDI Finds aisle. Each comes in a clear jar with a cute pink label and 14 ounces of a pinkish-red soy-blend wax.

Kirkton House is a popular ALDI brand known for its candle dupes. Alongside ALDI’s Huntington Home line, these soy-blend candles sell out quickly due to their long burn times and seasonal scents that rival premium brands. 

How ALDI's Tomato Candle Compares to Loewe’s

So, does ALDI's version hold a candle to Loewe's luxury option? To start, Kirkton House’s jar doesn’t look like Loewe’s at all, which is a rippled, glazed terra-cotta red with a simple imprinted logo. The dupe is also a little smaller, with only 14 ounces versus just over 21 ounces, so you won’t get as much burn time. Also, there's one less wick on the Loewe’s candle. But at this price, it’s worth heading to the store to see if the smell compares. 

Loewe’s version has a refined tomato fragrance that’s layered with cassis berries and luxury packaging. On the other hand, the Kirkton House edition has a triple wick that creates an even burn and wide scent dispersion, which may help make up for its smaller size.
