There's a new way to serve a morning spread that’s as portable as it is pretty. One TikTok creator known for her custom charcuterie boards used budget-friendly brunch finds from Trader Joe’s and ALDI to make it happen.
Jessica of @thecrazefulsenorita recently assembled and donated 40 curated brunch boxes, each filled with tasty grab-and-go staples. The thoughtful meal idea is easily scalable for events and gift giving, allowing you to serve a quick bite without needing a full sit-down setup. Here’s a closer look at everything she included and how you can tweak it the next time you want to make a boxed menu feel special.
Why You Need to Make a Brunch Box
All sorts of “adult lunchable” boxes have been popping up across social media, where containers are filled with themed seasonal ingredients and finished with cute packaging. The layout gives them the appeal of a charcuterie board with the convenience of a bagged lunch.
One playful spin on this idea is the brunch box, which features more morning-centric treats perfect for tea parties, baby showers, and summer picnics. They are also great for donating, and if you’re giving them to-go, find containers that are single-use with a lid. Otherwise, you can make them up in any bento box or lunch pail.

What’s Inside the Brunch Box
Most of the items in the featured TikTok's brunch box come from Trader Joe’s, including the go-to addition: Mini Brie Bites. These individually wrapped cheese snacks come in bright teal packaging that feels festive on its own. The next item is one of Trader Joe’s Brioche Style Liège Waffles. Each package comes with six individually wrapped waffles, so they will stay fresh until the recipient is ready to eat them.
A few brunch box items came from elsewhere. There are tiny croissants from ALDI, which fill up the space and can be bought by the dozen. For toppings, Jessica ordered hazelnut spread and fruit jam in individual packages on Amazon. The rest of the space was filled out with freshly washed strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries.
Other Brunch Box Variations
For those who enjoy the process of cooking and making food look pretty, you could easily spend extra time to make larger, more elaborate brunch boxes. Whip up a heartier staple to anchor the box, like a Flat Croissant Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
Instead of pre-packaged waffles, try rolling two or three pancakes into a bloom shape, and tucking a small package of syrup in the center. Wrap a pad of butter in parchment and tie it closed with twine for an elegant add-on.
Also, experiment with different fruits like kiwi or banana and mix in some custom granola. For more protein, add a hard-boiled egg on top of a small bed of mixed greens. The larger brunch boxes with more freshly made food are ideal when you’re giving one as a gift or want to send your partner off to work with an extra-special lunch.
