Arc Raiders Blue Gate quest - how to complete A First Foothold

How do you complete the Arc Raiders blue gate A First Foothold quest? A First Foothold is one of the trickier assignments you'll pick up during the early hours of Embark's extraction shooter. Sending you to the four corners of The Blue Gate, you'd best be prepared to journey far and wide in order to complete it.

The Blue Gate is one of the most open Arc Raiders maps we've come across, and it's certainly one of the multiplayer game's most beautiful. Rolling hills, gorgeous vistas, oh, and a boatload of Arcs buzzing around. What more could you ask for? A First Foothold is initially picked up from Apollo after you unlock this picturesque locale in Arc Raiders, and below you'll find exactly where you need to go to clear its four associated objectives.

To complete A First Foothold in Arc Raiders, you'll need to head to four locations on The Blue Gate map: Data Vault, Olive Grove, Ridgeline, and Trapper's Glade, completing a task in each one. You don't have to complete this quest all in one go, so don't worry if you can't hit every POI in a single run. Simply go for the closest POI to where you spawn in, and rotate to as many as you can before you feel the need to head back to Speranza.

Data Vault

The first objective has you head north of the Data Vault, up into The Blue Gate's mountains. There you'll find a decrepit church, on top of which you'll need to rotate satellite dishes. Getting up on to the roof requires you to head round the back of the church and hop up onto the broken wall. Be mindful of players scoping you out from Pilgrim's Peak as you go. Once up on the roof, simply interact with the satellite dishes.

Olive Grove

Next up is Olive Grove, which isn't only a great place to find, you guessed it, olives in Arc Raiders, but also lemons and apricots, as well as the comms terminal you'll need to enable. More specifically, this next objective is to the southwest of the POI marker, en route to Highway Collapse. Simply rock up to the lurid yellow machine on the worktop and whack it on.

Ridgeline

Next up we're heading east to the Ridgeline's observation deck. It's slightly off the beaten path, but that's what our location marker's for. All you have to do here is roll up to the front of the deck and stabilize it. Easy.

Trapper's Glade

The final stop on this magical mystery tour of The Blue Gate takes us to Trapper's Glade. This lush area is easily the most concealed part of the map, providing plenty of cover to clamber up on top of the Raider structure and nail down its roof plates, completing the quest.
