What are Elden Ring Nightreign Remembrances? FromSoftware's games are known for having fairly confusing stories, as they're usually told through cryptic messages and hidden meanings. Unsurprisingly, the latest game in the Elden Ring series takes a similar approach, but with a multiplayer twist.
Elden Ring Nightreign's story is told through events called Remembrances, providing you with missions that can be pursued during your expeditions, either in multiplayer or Elden Ring Nightreign solo. There are also rewards for completing Remembrances in the multiplayer game, including Relics, skins, and even additional endings.
How to access Remembrances
You can access Remembrances through the Journal In the Roundtable Hold area, revealing the story progression for each of the Elden Ring Nightreign classes. As you continue to play as each class, the journal automatically updates in the form of chapters, giving some more context to their backstories.
Eventually, you'll reach a page where it says, "Begin Remembrance." By doing so, you'll be transported to the Realm of Remembrance, filling your screen with a white haze. Additionally, you'll be given an objective, such as talking to the Priestess in the Roundtable Hold to learn what your next mission is.
For example, Ironeye's first Remembrance is to track down a traitor, placing a marker on your map the next time you start up an expedition. To progress the Remembrance, you must complete it by killing your target. It's worth noting that once you complete your objective, you don't need to worry about your current expedition progress, so feel free to end the day early if you wish.
How to progress a Remembrance
After you've completed your objective, head back to the Journal and report it in to end the chapter. To participate in more Remembrances, you need a Memory Fragment, which can be obtained as rare drops during expeditions. These can be quite difficult to acquire, sometimes they're available as rewards for expeditions, and others require you to successfully defeat a Night Lord.
The Remembrance objectives vary between each of the Nightfarers, and the difficulty of each objective may increase depending on how far you are into each chapter. As mentioned earlier, Ironeye's first objective is to head to a marker during an expedition, whereas it ramps up drastically as you get to the final chapters, asking you to defeat a specific Night Lord.
Inviting players to your Remembrance
Be warned, if your Remembrance is active (as indicated by the white haze), then you won't be able to queue with other players who also have a Remembrance active. You can get around this issue by inviting players directly to your lobby, forcing the players in your group to play in your instance of the game.
If you have multiple people in your group with active Remembrances using the invite method, only the person who started the mission at the Roundtable will have their objective on the map. Let's say you have two players currently working on Ironeye's objective of defeating a specific Night Lord, only the player who started the mission will receive the credit for completing it.
