Best Dying Light The Beast weapons
What are the best weapons in Dying Light The Beast? Sometimes, the best weapon in Dying Light is the one you have in your hands, because even swinging a rusty piece of old pipe is better than nothing. As you gain power, though, you are offered so much more choice, and you'll soon realize, as we did, that some weapons are just better than others.
With the Dying Light: The Beast release date now here, players are scrambling for whatever bladed objects they can, lest they be turned into dinner for one of the thousands of infected on their doorstep. As with most zombie games, having a variety of weapons to hand is a good idea if you want to be able to take on all comers. Here are our picks for the best Dying Light: The Beast weapons.
You're nearly always better with a weapon than without in Dying Light, so while these are our preferences for the best weapons, it's really down to you what you think works best for taking on the undead.
The best Dying Light: The Beast weapons are:
- Military Shotgun - A pump-action shotgun that deals extreme damage to anything in close proximity. The only issue is finding enough ammo to see you through the hordes.
- Slashers - A modified pair of knuckle dusters that add razor-sharp blades. Excellent for one-on-one fights, but you might struggle with a group. You can find the blueprint for the Slashers in the Groundskeeper's House on the eastern edge of the map.
- Reinforced Camp Axe - A relatively simple one-handed axe that can be fitted with a variety of modifications. Excellent for small groups of infected.
- Hunting Bow - While a little underwhelming at the beginning, the Hunting Bow, once upgraded, is a vital tool in silently taking down soldiers and undead alike.
- Fire Station Greataxe - An amazing weapon for taking on big groups of enemies. Can decapitate several enemies at once with big, powerful swings.
This isn't an exhaustive list by any means, and there were times when something like the Skull Cracker hammer came in handy, don't get us wrong. But there's just something about the efficiency of a giant axe that we can't resist.
